Yuri Perez is a Program Manager at the Global Liberty Alliance (GLA). He manages the implementation of GLA legal assistance programs. Originally from Cuba, he joined the dissident movement as a youth activist and a lawyer providing legal aid to persecuted activists. Prior to joining the GLA, he managed Freedom House’s Cuba portfolio and did research for the Cato Institute in the Western Hemisphere. He is a highly motivated, hard-working, and dependable individual fluent in English and Spanish with a proven record in advancing democracy, human rights, scholarship, and responsible public policies.
